2024 Summer Sewing Bee Challenge
St Margaret’s annual retail Summer Sewing Bee has returned; a creative challenge which is open to everyone of all abilities! The idea is to purchase fabric from one of their 31 shops and transform it into a unique and creative summer-themed item! Entries can be made between the 1-31 July and sent through with ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures to info@st-margarets-hospice.org.uk
So, whether you transform a curtain into a skirt, or re-purpose a men’s jacket into a trendy suit waistcoat, the hospice would love to see what you create. Pictured is the 2023 winning entry by Thelma, who transformed a £3.50 men’s shirt (along with some material of her own) into a bag, Trixie hat, book sleeve and a little coin purse.
