A celebration of the 80th anniversary of VE Day

The full day consists of:
9 am - Chard Town Crier will read the proclamation from the balcony of the Guildhall.
10:45 am - Wreath Laying Service at St Mary's Church Chard
7 pm - Beacon lighting event. Celebrate this special moment and enjoy live entertainment from John Gudge and Bethany Goodman, refreshments, and exhibits.
The beacon will be lit at 8:15 pm, following the international tribute.
