Cecil Sharp collected more than one thousand folk songs in Somerset and without his efforts, many folk songs of today would be forgotten.
An event marking 100 years since his death is being held at the Lamb and Lion Pub in Hambridge. It starts at 6 pm on Tuesday, June 25th, with children from Hambridge Primary School performing a dance, followed by Morris dancing by Taunton Deane Morris Men and Chalice Morris Men.
