Annual event to commemorate those local people lost during during the Falklands War in 1982, and to celebrate "Liberation Day", 14th June 1982.
On Saturday, 14th June, the Yeovil and District Branch of the Royal British Legion will conduct its annual service to mark the end of the Falklands War on 14th June 1982, commemorating what became known as Liberation Day.
They will also commemorate those from the British Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives to ensure freedom in the British Overseas Territory, some 8000 miles from home.
The event will take place at the Falklands Memorial Site adjacent to the west door of St John's Church on Church Path, Yeovil.
The Service will commence at 1100 hrs.
This is an outdoor event, so please keep an eye on the weather and bring a camp chair or umbrella if you wish.
