Ilminster Literary Festival (ILF) began in 2016 and has grown year on year to become an annual town highlight. It’s not just about books but about the wider arts, too, and attracts both established and new authors, politicians, and well-known celebrities. Speakers at ILF 2025 include Sir Anthony Seldon ( What’s Gone Wrong with Politics?), TV royal expert and historian Professor Kate Williams (The Royal Palaces: Secrets and Scandals) and detective thriller writer Damien Boyd, whose latest novel, Deceived by the Light, is about a serial killer cruising the A303 in South Somerset!
