Steam Trains and Easter

Easter weekend. There is no need to book tickets for this event.

There will be an Easter Egg trail taking you to various locations around our site. Easter chocolates are given as prizes while stocks last.
On both days, we will be operating our on-site steam engine ‘Pectin’ to give train rides along the 1/3rd mile of the ex-Great Western Railway Clifton Maybank branch. Passengers travel in historic brake vans or coaches. Coach is accessible via a ramp for standard-size wheelchairs and other users.
Trains run every 20 minutes (except for a lunch break), and visitors can enjoy unlimited trips on the day as well as on the Miniature Railway.

Other planned attractions include a Shop, Light Refreshments, a model railway and exhibits and displays (including demonstrations of the turntable).

Admission (including Steam Train and Miniature Railway rides) £13 per adult, £6.50 per child (aged 5-15) whilst children 4 and under are admitted free. One Child (aged 5-15) is admitted FREE with a full-paying adult. Gates open at 10.30am and train rides start at 11am. Last admission 3.20 pm. The last train is at 3.30 pm. Members are also admitted free.

Free parking on site (subject to availability) – go to Yeovil Junction station, BA22 9UU and turn right under the low bridge halfway up the station approach road – look out for the large ‘Yeovil Railway Centre’ sign and arrow!
