The perfect basket for a beginner to try their hand at! Come to Carymoor and make your own Berry Basket, just in time for Blackberry season.

During this course, you will be guided by your tutor, through the various stages of making your basket, using a variety of willow and the stake and strand method. You will learn how to grade the willow into different thicknesses, make the base of your basket and then wale on the side to give a contemporary feel. Finish with a simple track border and handle bow.

All materials included. Please note that the baskets in the image was made by your tutor. Willow varieties and colours on the course will vary depending on availability.

What to expect:

A small group of a maximum of 6 people.
The session will be led by Carymoor’s Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Karen Boswell.
The course will be held in our JP Studio.
Please bring your own lunch. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
All the tools and materials you need will be provided on the day.
Take home a beautiful bespoke willow basket.
