Food vouchers are being handed out to families in South Somerset his week during the school half-term break. Somerset County Council has provided £250,000 for the vouchers to be given to fourteen thousand children to ensure that no child in Somerset goes hungry while schools are closed.
A motorcyclist from Yeovil has been killed in an accident near Dorchester. His Harley Davidson machine was in collision with a Ford Focus on Coombe Road in Winterbourne Steepleton at around 7.30 pm on Sunday.
