June Wild Women (over 50s)
Meet at the car park by charlton Mackrell primary school on Bonfire Lane.
Hey ladies 50 and over! Join us for a fun and relaxing walk looking for Butterflies, Birds, Bees and Bugs!
We are hoping to be able to spot one of the jewels in the crown at Green Down Reserve. The Large Blue Butterfly. The Large Blue Butterly declared extinct in Britain in 1979, it has since been reintroduced as part of a long term conservation programme.
Terrain is steep and the walk up can be challenging so please bring suitable footwear and possibly poles. Unfortunately this walk is not suitable for wheelchair users or those really unsteady on their feet.
If you have your own binoculars, please do bring them along. We do have a few pairs we can lend out.
Unfortunately although we love your furry friends, the wildlife does not always feel the same. We ask you polietly to keep dogs at home.
Come ready to explore and have a great time outdoors. Can’t wait to see you there!
If you have any questions, please email madeleine.donoghue@yrct.org.uk
