New double yellow lines will be introduced in Glastonbury before Christmas, in a bid to prevent unauthorised roadside encampments. Figures show 131 people are currently living in vans, caravans or motorhomes on the town’s roadsides, with many in the Morland area. The lines will run along Beckery Old Road, banning parking outside the Premier Inn, Screwfix, Topps Tiles and the Red Brick Building.
