Avon and Somerset Police are warning people to watch out for scammers posing as Amazon. Fraudsters are making unexpected calls claiming expensive purchases have been made, then persuading people to download software or reveal security codes to access bank accounts and personal information. Police say never share one-time passcodes or install software after an unexpected call. If you think you've been targeted, contact your bank immediately on 159.

Somerset Council is asking voters for their views on local polling districts and the location of polling stations. A public consultation has opened and runs until the third of September. The review aims to make sure voting locations are practical, accessible and meet the needs of people with disabilities. Residents can take part through Somerset Council’s consultation page.
