    A woman's been arrested after the body of a newborn baby was found at the Yeovil waste and recycling centre on the Lufton Trading Estate. Police were called in to investigate after a member of staff discovered the body at around 2 pm on Wednesday. They say the death is being treated as "unexplained" as enquiries are ongoing. The woman is being kept in custody where she's receiving appropriate medical support

    Plans have been submitted to convert the former Post Office in Somerton into a house. Included with the property is a red letterbox and two bay windows painted in Post Office red. The applicants say no significant changes will be made to the outside of the property.

    Kit Hill on the A30 in Sherborne has reopened after fourteen months of traffic delays. Kit Hill was originally closed as an emergency measure to repair a damaged wall last year. The closure has been a major point of contention with shop owners and residents in Sherborne expressing anger at the time it was taking to complete the repairs.

    The Chairman of Somerset NFU, Lindsey Isgar, says she's disappointed that Tesco has cut the price of its milk. The supermarket has reduced the price of a four-pint bottle from £1.65 to £1.55. Tesco says it is paying less for milk and has decided to pass on the reduction to its customers.

    A new business selling sustainable home heating systems opens in Yeovil next week. Renewable Equipment Solutions, distributors of renewable, energy-efficient heating and hot water systems, open for business on the Lynx Trading Estate on Tuesday.

    A woman from Marston Magna has fulfilled her dream of becoming a shepherdess and is offering sheep therapy sessions. Carla Bunter and her family bought some Black nose sheep two years ago and say they haven't looked back since.
