Asda has already announced that customers will be limited to two boxes of eggs each. The shortage of eggs is being blamed for the outbreak of avian flu.

The proposed South Somerset Carnival Park was given the go-ahead earlier this year but a judicial review found that South Somerset District Council wrongly allowed two councillors, who were connected to the application, to vote in the planning debate.
