    The NHS in the South West has issued a final call to people to come forward for a Covid booster before the scheme ends next month. Sunday, 12th February, will be the last chance for 16 to 49-year-olds, who are not considered at risk, to get a third dose or booster.

    A Somerset hairdresser has become one of the first to sign up for a new scheme in which salons change their working practices to aid the environment. Adam Reed is a celebrity stylist and is working on the initiative with Net Zero and L'Oreal.

    The story of the Roman occupation at Ham Hill is to be told in a new exhibition. South Somerset District Council has been given £74,00 by the Wolfson Foundation to mount a permanent display about the Hill Fort’s 2,000-year existence at the new Ham Hill Visitor Centre.

    Members of Chard Inner Wheel have donated £125 to Chard Young People’s Centre. Chair of the Chard Area Youth Committee, Tricia 0’Brien, said the money would help towards the extra costs of renting and heating the building.          

    People in Yeovil are being invited to take up netball. Lucie Rawlins has started practice sessions at Westfield Academy each Thursday evening. She says netball is a great sport that can be played at any age.

    With just 100 days to go to the King's coronation in May those planning to hold a street party are being advised to start the process of applying for a road closure through their local council.
