Mr. Fysh is concerned about the fall-off in passenger numbers and the high costs of subsidizing rural buses. He says the future for public transport services in rural places lies in them becoming more ‘on demand’.

Talks are underway with the Somerset FA to launch a new women’s football team at Yeovil Town. It follows the departure of the former Yeovil Ladies Team from Huish Park to Bridgwater Town in 2021.
