A new police station has opened in Wincanton in a building that was previously a Lloyds Bank. Neighbourhood Sergeant for Wincanton, Katie Maun, said having a base in the town centre in Market Place had made it easier for her team of officers to engage with the local community.

People in the Diocese of Bath and Wells are being asked who they’d like to see as their new Bishop. Bishop Peter Hancock formally retired last month triggering a recruitment process that'll take over a year.
