    Police investigating the attempted abduction of an eight-year-old boy in Yeovil have issued an E-fit of a man they want to trace. Police say the man tried to pull the boy away from his mother in Cedar Grove at around 8.30 am on Monday, March 6th. If you were in the area and saw the incident, or have dash cam footage that could help, please call 101. 

    Four households in Ilminster have won a share of a £120,000 win in the Postcode lottery. The winning postcode, which came up on Saturday’s draw, was TA19 9SR and lies in the Highfield area of Ilminster.

    Avon and Somerset Police say a decision is likely before the end of the month regarding the future of Yeovil Police Station. The five-storey building on Horsey Lane has been empty since 2018. In 2020, plans were announced to spend six-point-two million pounds upgrading the building but the scheme was paused pending a review of police requirements for Yeovil and South Somerset.

    A Chief Petty Officer at RNAS Yeovilton is embarking on a 900-mile bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise funds for Yeovil Hospital. Mark Wilkes says it’s to thank Yeovil Hospital for their support after two of his children were born prematurely.
