Merlin Helicopters built in Yeovil and fitted with the Crowsnest radar system have entered service for the first time with the Navy. The distinctive-looking helicopter, which has a large radar dome sticking out from the fuselage, provides airborne surveillance. The work on the Merlins was carried out by Leonardo in partnership with the Thales Group at Templecombe.
