Somerset Council says it's found no evidence of the faulty concrete RAAC in any of its schools so far. The Council's Lead Member for Children, Families and Education - Tessa Munt - has addressed the growing concerns and says surveys of schools have been carried out since June. The government has published a full list of schools and education settings in England known to contain the concrete.

A busy Yeovil road was closed yesterday morning, following a crash. Mudford Road was shut in both directions between Hillview and the Pen Mill Trading Estate turn-off during Wednesday’s rush hour. The road reportedly reopened around midday.

Wessex Water says it's investing £3m a month to reduce the impact of storm overflows. A BBC investigation found the company illegally discharged sewage on days when it wasn't raining last year.
