The latest incidents include a wall being knocked down in Pageant Gardens and four vehicles parked on Lenthay Road having their tyres slashed. Police say they need help with catching those responsible and have asked Sherborne Town Council to install CCTV in the town centre.
A public inquiry into plans for an estate of new homes in Castle Cary has been put back until the autumn. Wyke Farms and Hopkins Development want to build on land between Castle Cary train station and the town centre. South Somerset District Council refused the application in May last year saying the homes would create "a highly conspicuous scar upon the local countryside". It’s expected the inquiry, which should have been held in May, will take place in November.
