    Four people have been arrested as part of an investigation into the illegal supply of prescription-only drugs in Yeovil. A Yeovil man has appeared in court in connection with two burglaries in Langport. A well-known farm and restaurant business in South Petherton has been put up for sale.     Four people have been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal supply of prescription-only drugs in Yeovil. It follows a police search of home addresses in the town after a pharmacy's audit revealed painkillers and sedatives were missing. A variety of prescription-only medications were seized in the raids. Two men and two women were arrested and later bailed, pending further enquiries.

    A Yeovil man has appeared in court in connection with two burglaries in Langport. Darren Howell of Allingham Road was released on conditional bail and will appear at Taunton Crown Court on Monday 20 May.

    A well-known farm and restaurant business in South Petherton has been put up for sale. Frogmary Green Farm, which also operates as a wedding venue and includes 85 acres of land, is on the market for £4.85 million. 

    New figures show the number of House Sparrows in Somerset has continued to decline. The findings are based on the results of this year’s Big Garden Birdwatch survey, published by the RSPB. Despite the Sparrow being the most spotted bird, the number of sightings was down on last year’s results.

    The actor Russell Crowe is to play at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. The star of Gladiator has been given an early Saturday night slot with his band Indoor Garden Party on the Acoustic Stage.

    Yeovil Town’s away fixture against Weymouth won’t be replayed. The game, played on April 1st had to be abandoned when a supporter fell seriously ill. The 3-points have been awarded to Weymouth who were leading Yeovil 1-0 with ten minutes to play when the match was stopped.
