A new NHS diagnostic centre, providing around 70,000 tests and outpatient appointments a year, has opened in Yeovil. Built on the site of Yeovil Hospital, it offers audiology, ear, nose and throat, and cardiology services.
The go ahead's been given to build a replacement school for Milford Junior School in Yeovil. Milford Juniors on Glenthorne Avenue closed in 2022 due to structural problems, with children taught in temporary classrooms on a nearby playing field. Now, the Department of Education has secured planning permission to build a new school on land opposite Milford Infants School, with an opening date of September 2027.
