Helicopters from RNAS Yeovilton have completed six weeks of sorties, protecting Cyprus from attacks by Iran. Merlin and Wildcat helicopters were deployed to RAF Akrotiri after the US and Israel began strikes on Iran in February. The Navy says they’ve flown hundreds of missions, including responding to potential threats and carrying out routine patrols.

The government is providing help to people who use domestic heating oil, but only those in receipt of benefits qualify.
