Somerset Council has declared "a financial emergency". It follows news that the Council is facing a one hundred million pound overspend in the next financial year. The Council’s controlling Lib Dem group agreed to declare the financial emergency at a meeting held in Yeovil.
The Dorset & Somerset air ambulance was called in to assist when a member of staff at Neroche Primary School in Broadway near Ilminster fell ill. South Western Ambulance Service say a land ambulance also attended and in the event the air ambulance wasn’t needed.
