Police say a fire at the former Oscar Mayer food factory in Chard was started deliberately. The blaze – the second in less than a week – broke out on Sunday night, with huge plumes of black smoke spreading across a wide area. Police are asking nearby residents with relevant CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage to please come forward.
Yeovil College says the order with Leonardo in Yeovil to build new medium lift helicopters for the RAF is vital to its future. The College has training contracts with Leonardo worth £1.2 million.
