Lib Dem MP for Somerton and Frome, Sarah Dyke and Conservative MP for Bridgwater and West Somerset Ian Liddell-Grainger have written to the Prime Minister asking the government to provide councils with better financial support.

Somerset Council has given permission for 196, Sherborne Road in Yeovil to be turned into a house of multiple occupation. The four-bed property will be reorganised, with four large en suite rooms across the ground and first floors and a further two rooms on the second floor, with residents sharing a kitchen, bathroom and living room area.

Libraries in Somerset have had 156 coats donated as part of a Winter Coat Exchange. The idea is that people can come and donate, exchange or take a coat as needed. So far, 80 of the coats have found new homes.
