Floods!

    Lots of local roads and even some main ones are closed this morning due to flooding. With the overnight rain we've just had, levels are likely to get higher throughout the day.

    Here's the latest we have at the moment:

    A303 – Somerset/Devon border The A303 is shut both ways between the A30 at Upottery and the A358 at Horton Cross. National Highways teams are working to clear floodwater, with police also on scene.

    B3165 is closed between the A303 and Crewkerne.

    A30 Honiton - Westbound closed due to flooding from Honiton (Honiton) to Exeter Airport (Clyst Honiton). Eastbound is closed from Exeter Airport to Daisy Mount Cross.

    A359 Yeovil - Sparkford closed in multiple places.

    Old A303 into Ilminster, Station Road Closed

    Stoke Road, martock is closed.

    A37 Ilchester (Ilchester Straight) - Yeovil is partially flooded, with heavy traffic in the area.

    A358 - Ilminster - Chard closed at Donyatt.

    A30 – East Devon The A30 is closed in both directions between the B3174/B3180 near Ottery St Mary and the B3184 for Exeter Airport. Standing water has made the road impassable, with crews monitoring conditions.

    A38 Wellington - A38 both ways are impassable due to flooding between B3187 Taunton Road (Chelston roundabout, Wellington ) and Egremont Road (Rumwell).

    Cuts Road both ways closed due to flooding from A361 New Road (East Lyng) to Stanmoor Road (Athelney).

    B3157 Common Lane, both ways, is just passable due to flooding between Shadrach and Bredy Road.

    Langport Road, Muchelney - Langport Road is closed both ways due to flooding from Law Lane (Muchelney) to The Hill (Langport).

    New Road West, Lyng - New Road is closed both ways due to flooding between A361 Main Road (West Lyng) and The Shambles (North Curry).

    A361 New Road, Burrowbridge - A361 New Road is closed both waysdue to flooding from Stathe Road (Burrowbridge) to Cuts Road (East Lyng).

    A35 – Dorset In Dorset, the A35 is closed in both directions between the A352 Max Gate junction and the B3150 Stinsford Roundabout near Dorchester due to surface water flooding.

    A356 both ways are impassable due to flooding between Frome Lane and the Wynford Eagle turn-off.
