    The fire service is treating a fire in the kit and changing rooms at Pen Mill Football Club’s ground in Yeovil as deliberate. The club, which plays at Johnson Park, off Ilchester Road, says it will impact its ability to hold junior football tournaments at the ground over the summer months. 

    St Margaret’s Hospice has embarked on a 36-hour fundraising drive, ending tonight, to raise £100,000. The charity says it needs the cash to cover the unexpected rise in employer national insurance contributions that have added £300,000 to their running costs.

    A former Principal of Yeovil College has been awarded an OBE in the King's Honours List. John Evans was Head of Yeovil College between July 2014 and January 2014 before moving to the post of Group Principal and Chief Executive of Cornwall College.

    Holyrood Academy in Chard is putting on a free summer event for the local community. Taking place on Saturday, June 28th, and titled 'Rain or Shine', it’ll feature music and dance, along with a car boot sale.
