Yeovil MP Adam Dance is calling for Yeovil Hospital to be included in the national review of NHS maternity services. Speaking in the Commons, Mr Dance said he was concerned that an investigation into the maternity unit in Yeovil, which is currently closed, would not be included in the national review. Health Secretary, Wes Streeting, has yet to respond to Mr Dance’s question.
A Yeovil man has appeared in court charged with four counts of fraud. The charges relate to several incidents in which credit accounts were allegedly created between 2021 and 2024. Ben Millin of Roping Road in Yeovil was remanded in custody to appear at Taunton Crown Court on Friday, July 18th.
