Four people, including a man from Chard, have been ordered to pay back more than £375,000 after being convicted of being involved in the supply of illegal drugs. The ringleader of the group, Wesley Wells-Burr, who owned a house in Chard, was jailed last week after police discovered cannabis factories that he ran near Taunton and in Chard. Wells-Burr was jailed at Taunton Crown Court after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply cannabis.
Military veterans and their family members are being offered places on a new training course at the Somerset Recovery College. It's called "The Art of Resilience for the Military Community" and teaches techniques for managing stress and anxiety.
