With the winter pressure now on the NHS, together with a surge in Omicron cases, the arrangement will continue to operate for a further six months.

By using 3D imaging, which is usually used for brain surgery, surgeons at the Bristol Children’s Hospital were able to get a better view of the problem and perform the operation faster, and with greater accuracy.
