Shoppers at Yeovil’s Tesco Extra on Queensway Place are being warned of changes to the car park rules. With the store’s facilities a popular choice for Tesco shoppers alongside access to the town centre, motorists can now only stay for a period of between 15 minutes and 2 hours, depending on the time of day. The previous maximum stay was two and a half hours.

The Yeovil Refresh scheme is receiving criticism from shoppers, disappointed by narrow walkways and fencing at High Street, The Borough and the bandstand. Whilst Westminster Street and Wine Street works have been completed, the overall project won’t be finished for at least another year.

More host families are wanted in Somerset to support Ukranians fleeing the war. Since last year, over 15 hundred people have been relocated in the county but replacement homes are needed, with several long-term hosts wanting to take a break.

Finally, if you were struggling to buy new Yeovil Town Football Club kit on Friday evening, you might want to know that the website crashed after it was overwhelmed by demand. The club has apologised and says you should be able to access it now.
