Somerset couple, Trevor St Hilaire and his wife Helen have fostered 9 children in the past 4 years. They say the work of being a foster parent can be challenging but very rewarding.
Supermarket chain Aldi has announced plans to open a new store in Chard. Aldi says it’s looking to buy a site of around 1.5 acres in a main road position with good access. Chard is one of 13 towns in Somerset where the supermarket wants to open new stores.
David Bowie fans in Somerset are planning to stage the first-ever David Bowie World Fan Convention. They plan to hold the event in Liverpool in June next year. Organiser, Andy Jones, says the convention will be a fitting tribute to a great artist.
