The Royal Bath and West Show has announced that it is coming back this year, after taking a two-year break due to the pandemic. It'll return at the Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet beginning June 2nd and run for three days, featuring the usual livestock classes, exhibitions and entertainment.

The count is part of the annual Big Farmland Bird Count that launched nationally at the weekend.
St Margaret's Primary School in Tintinhull near Yeovil has received a letter from the Queen thanking them for planting trees for the Platinum Jubilee. Thirty saplings have been planted by children at the school in support of The Queen’s Green Canopy project. Headteacher Hayley Robinson says it’s the first time in the school’s 150-year history that a reigning monarch has written to school.
