    A Somerset pharmacist says people are going without prescription medicines because they can't afford to pay for them. Two local teenage boys have appeared before a Youth Panel charged with causing actual bodily harm.     A Somerset pharmacist says people are going without prescription medicines because they can't afford to pay for them. Lead pharmacist at Somerset Vale Healthcare, Fivos Valagiannopoulos says he’s seen a rise in the number of people not collecting their prescriptions, with some asking what they can "do without" altogether. 

    Two local teenage boys have appeared before a Youth Panel charged with causing actual bodily harm. The panel was told that the youths attacked a 13-year-old boy in Pageant Gardens in Sherborne in July last year. The pair were referred to a youth offending panel and told to pay the boy compensation.

    The date of this year’s Yeovil Half Marathon has been announced. The race, which starts in Petters Way, goes out to Montecute House before returning to the finish line in the Quedam shopping centre, will take place on Sunday, 26th of March.

    A public meeting is being held in Yeovil to discuss plans to centralise emergency stroke care in Somerset. The proposal could see people who’ve suffered a stroke taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton rather than Yeovil Hospital. The meeting, with questions to an NHS Somerset panel, will take place at Yeovil Rugby Club, off Dorchester Road, on Tuesday 21st of February at 2 pm.
