Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a crash in Crewkerne left two people injured. The two-vehicle collision happened just after midnight on Sunday, August 27th and involved a black Peugeot Expert van and a grey BMW 166i. One person involved remains in hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The local helicopter manufacturer is one of three businesses in the running to build a large fleet of new aircraft – and is already preparing for production and training staff. We’re told that the process for securing the contract should have been finalised in the autumn of last year.

The disciplinary hearing at the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard how the proprietor failed to implement plans to improve the standards of care, leaving residents at risk. The home was shut down in November 2018.
