Plans to convert farming buildings into five homes at Maperton near Wincanton have been rejected by South Somerset District Council. The proposed site at Maperton Dairy Farm would have involved adapting buildings currently used to store hay and cattle. Local people had objected on the grounds the development would have been “out of keeping” with the village.
