New 'Pop-Up' clinics have opened in Somerset, including in Yeovil at the Westlands entertainment complex in Westbourne Close, for young people aged 12 to 15 to get a first Covid jab. It’s part of efforts to persuade parents to get their children vaccinated at the start of the new school term.

A service set up to transport seriously ill patients from hospital to hospital in the South West is being extended. Since the launch of the Retrieve Service a year ago, 700 patients have been transported between critical care units with the support of specialist medical teams.

Chard Football Club is looking to raise £80,000 to build new changing facilities at its ground on Zembard Lane. The club says the money raised will benefit the whole town as the football ground is open for everyone to use.

700 new trees were planted at Ham Hill country park in the last month. The initiative was part of National Tree Planting Week with land at Pit Wood populated with saplings. Head Ranger, Paul McNeill, says the planting has replaced trees lost to ash dieback and has increased the diversity of the fauna and flora at Ham Hill.

A group set up in Ilminster to launch a repair shop is looking for more volunteers. The project is about sharing tools, space, knowledge, and skills.

A pub in Yeovil town centre has been put up for sale. The Westminster on Westminster Street, owned by Enlighten Inns, is advertised at £285,000.
