The facility’s managed by Bournemouth Churches Housing Association under a contract with South Somerset District Council. The Council says it’s working on a plan to find alternative accommodation for those affected by the closure.
Parliamentary boundaries are set to change across Somerset. It would mean that Somerset would have eight MPs compared to six at present. The Boundary Commission says people have the next four weeks to comment on the plans.

A two-mile stretch of the A303 in South Somerset will shut this weekend. The road between the Sparkford and Podimore roundabouts will close from 10 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday for work to be carried out removing a temporary bridge. The bridge has been in use as part of turning the A303 between Sparkford and Podimore into a dual-carriageway. During the closure, diversions will be in operation along the A359 and A37.
