Unite - the union representing employees at Leonardo sites across the UK - is balloting members on industrial action after rejecting a pay offer of 3.2 per cent. Leonardo says the offer is fair and competitive. News of the ballot follows the government’s announcement delaying an order for new medium lift helicopters for the RAF, a contract for which Leonardo is the sole bidder.
