The warning is already in effect and will remain so until Monday. Health and social care services may face significant challenges due to the expected high temperatures in the coming days.

The Council says it will redesign services around local people, voluntary groups, and public services – and also continue to lobby the Government for what it describes as a fairer system to provide essential services to vulnerable adults and children.
