Work is underway to demolish Glovers Walk in Yeovil. Somerset Council bought the former shopping arcade, which is being removed as part of the town centre's regeneration. This follows work to clear out the insides of the empty shop units that began in February.

A Yeovil man has appeared in court charged with drink driving for a third time. Terry Buttle of Combe Street Lane pleaded guilty at Yeovil Magistrates Court to driving a vehicle along Preston Road in Yeovil after consuming excess alcohol. He was disqualified from driving for four years.
