An investigation is being carried out following the sudden death of a man in Yeovil on Sunday 23 June. Avon & Somerset Police were called to a block of flats in Raglan Terrace at approximately 7pm where a man in his 60s was pronounced deceased. Four arrests have been made, including two men in their 50s on suspicion of murder. A third man, also in his 50s, and a woman, in her 40s, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Yeovil Town Football Club has condemned the use of its former club logo being used in anti-immigration campaigns. The logo has been spotted being used alongside the slogan "Stop the Boats" in Germany and has been circulating on social media. In a statement, the club says it stands firmly against any form of discrimination, xenophobia, or divisive rhetoric and is taking steps to address the misuse of the logo.
A touch of continental café culture is one step closer in Yeovil after the William Dampier pub has had its plans approved for an outside seating area.
