    A handgun has been found abandoned on a road in Yeovil. A man was taken to hospital after crashing a car into the front of a house in Ilminster. Police are investigating the theft of a car in Beer Street, Yeovil. Two farm buildings have been damaged by fire in Stalbridge. Navy personnel from RNAS Yeovilton will play a key role in the funeral service tomorrow of Prince Philip.

    A handgun has been found abandoned on a road in Yeovil. The weapon was spotted by a passer-by on King Street wrapped in a towel. After police were called, the gun was taken away for examination. Anyone with information that could help the police is asked to call the non-emergency number 101.

    A man was taken to hospital after crashing a car into the front of a house in Ilminster. It happened in Ditton Street at around 9.15 am yesterday (15-04). No other vehicle was involved.

    Police are investigating the theft of a car in Beer Street, Yeovil. The vehicle a blue BMW 5 series was taken at around 7.45 am on Monday, March 29th. It was later found abandoned in Meadow Road after being involved in a number of minor collisions in the town. If you have information that would help police with their enquiries, you’re asked to call 101.

    Two farm buildings have been damaged by fire in Stalbridge. Crews from Sherborne, Wincanton and Yeovil attended the blaze in Lower Road.

    Navy personnel from RNAS Yeovilton will play a key role in the funeral service tomorrow of Prince Philip. They will form part of a ceremonial procession and help to carry the Duke’s coffin into St George’s Chapel at Windsor. Radio Ninesprings will broadcast full coverage of the funeral, starting at 2 pm tomorrow.
