    Crewkerne is to lose another high street bank. Work has been completed re-building the Market Cross in Ilchester. Three Afghan families will arrive in Somerset next week to begin a new life in the County. Citizens Advice South Somerset says it's helping more people than ever at the moment. Ditcheat based horse racing trainer, Paul Nicholls says there are still plenty more trophies for him to win.

    Crewkerne is to lose another high street bank. Lloyds have announced that their branch in Crewkerne will shut in March next year. It’s one of forty Lloyds branches shutting across England due to online banking.

    Work has been completed re-building the Market Cross in Ilchester. The nine-metre tall monument, dating back to 1795, was wrecked when a car crashed into it four years ago. People in Ilchester are invited to attend a rededication ceremony in Market Square next Monday at 8 pm, organised by Ilminster Town Trust

    Three Afghan families will arrive in Somerset next week to begin a new life in the County. Somerset County Council says a further four families will arrive before Christmas, under the government’s resettlement scheme. 

    Citizens Advice South Somerset says it's helping more people than ever at the moment. It says client inquiries are 12 percent higher than this time last year. CEO of the CAB in South Somerset, Angela Kerr, says rent, energy bills, and fuel prices, are what most people ask for advice on.

    Ditcheat based horse racing trainer, Paul Nicholls says there are still plenty more trophies for him to win. He was speaking on the 30th anniversary of opening his training stables near Castle Cary during which time his horses have won more than 3,000 races. Paul says he has no intention of retiring, just yet.
