Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Yeovil involving a Ford Focus and a van in which the van driver suffered a broken foot. It happened in Sherborne Road on Sunday, October 16th, at around 1.25 pm. They’re asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dash cam footage, to call the non-emergency number 101.

There's a chance to have your say on the response to flooding in Somerset in the future. The roles are voluntary and will also be responsible for approving the Environment Agency's national flood response plans.

A Somerset woman has been paid £1,000 in compensation for a delay that meant she was unable to use the bathroom in her home. In a statement, Somerset County Council said the well-being of our residents is its top priority but, on this occasion, they failed to get it right.
