Plans have been submitted to build 61 new homes between Montacute and Stoke-sub-Hamdon. The development would be on land next to the playing fields at Stanchester Academy. Acorn Property Group, which is behind the scheme, says 21 of the 61 homes would be ‘affordable’. Somerset Council’s expected to decide on the application early in the New Year.
