The Government has announced it ls going to end the controversial practice of badger culling as a way of getting rid of Bovine TB.
Since being trialled in Somerset nearly ten years ago it's divided the farming community and Labour says data on the prevalence of the disease in wildlife is still largely unknown. Instead, they will start vaccinating badgers with a separate jab for cattle plus introduce a national wildlife surveillance programme.

The event on Saturday, September 14th is promised to be a vibrant celebration, with an array of carnival carts, majorettes, walking masqueraders and bands taking to the streets.
